How Scoring Works
Five laps. Up to 500 points.
Everyone gets the same five daily questions in the same order. Drop a pin on the location described, then lock it in. Each lap is worth up to 100 points.
Closer pins earn more points
Distance is measured from your pin to the correct location.
| Distance from the correct location | Points before hints |
|---|---|
| 15 km or less | 100 |
| 30 km | 90 |
| 60 km | 75 |
| 100 km | 50 |
| 300 km | 25 |
| 500 km or farther | 10 |
Between these distances, points decrease smoothly and are rounded to a whole number.
Pit Stop Hint
One hint is available per lap. Using it subtracts 20 points from that lap’s distance score, down to a minimum of 0. With a hint, the maximum is 80 points.
Your scorecard
Each circle represents one lap and uses your final score after any hint deduction.
| Circle color | Final lap score |
|---|---|
| Green | 75–100 |
| Yellow | 25–74 |
| Red | 0–24 |
Your total out of 500 earns a performance title. These titles describe your score, not your position on a leaderboard.
| Total score | Title |
|---|---|
| 0–100 | Rookie |
| 101–200 | Contender |
| 201–300 | Front Runner |
| 301–400 | On the Box |
| 401–475 | Pole Position |
| 476–500 | Champion |

Keeping your progress
Refreshing during a game in the same browser preserves your progress and does not reshuffle questions, as long as its session cookie remains available. Clearing browser data or switching browsers or devices may prevent recovery of an in-progress game.
